  RCSS Celebrates READ ACROSS AMERICA

FreeOnline ExPreSS (Exam Preparation for Science and Social Studies) will be offered by the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) online to all high school students and certificate of attendance recipients who were unsuccessful on or who have not yet taken the Science and/or Social Studies Georgia High School Graduation Test.  It will offer self-paced units based on the instructional plans created for the summer ExPreSS Program.

The Georgia Professional Standards Commission  (GaPSC) is moving to paperless certification. Beginning January 1, 2010, the GaPSC will no longer print and mail certificates and correspondence to educators. It will instead issue these documents electronically.

Richmond County School System's English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Program invites you to the 1st Annual ESOL International Night. The event will be at Glenn Hills Elementary at 6:30PM on March 31.

ATTENTION ALL SOCIAL STUDIES TEACHERS! YOUR IMMEDIATE ACTION IS REQUIRED!

The Richmond County School System is applying for an American History Grant.  Below is the link to the needs assessment survey for this grant. We are asking for as many Social Studies teachers in the district as possible to complete the survey ASAP. These results will help to guide the planning, writing and implementation of the grant and show that our project is based on identified needs.  Take the Survey here

On Thursday January 21st, RCSS Superintendent Dr. Dana T. Bedden and Augusta Mayor Deke Copenhaver announced the development of a charitable fund for Haitian Children.  This fund is being managed by the Community Foundation of the CSRA and called the Haitian Children’s Fund.
