21st CCLC / DHR at Collins Elementary
21st Century Community Learning Centers and the Department of Human Resources afterschool programming is an collaborative effort to offer students and their families an opportunity to learn new skills and discover abilities in an after school environment. DHR and 21st CCLC after school programs focus on families and emphasize non-traditional ways to improve academics while providing enrichment activities.

Our enrichment program is offered Monday through Friday, 3:15 to 6:15 PM, with snack served daily from 3:15 - 3:45pm. Bus transportation will be provide at 6:15pm to bring your students home, or you may come at 6:15 to pick your child up from the school.  We look forward to working with the students, adults and families at Collins Elementary School.

21st Century Community Learning Center / Department of Human Resources afterschool programming is an collaborative effort to offer students and their families an opportunity to learn new skills and discover abilities in an after school environment.  21st CCLC and DHR  after school programs focus on families and emphasize non-traditional ways to improve academics while providing enrichment activities.  Our academic program is offered Monday through Friday, 2:30 to 5:00 PM.  We look forward to working with the students, adults and families at Glenn Hills High School.
 
Glenn Hills High School offers Georgia Virtual School Credit Recovery courses to high school students and GED training and Microsoft Office and Welding Certificate courses for community adults and students' family members.  GED classes last until 8:00pm on Mondays and Wednesdays.

W.S. Hornsby 21st CCLC History
 
W. S. Hornsby Elementary School's 21st Century Community Learning Center (CCLC) was formed by the Richmond County Board of Education.  It is a key component of President Bush's No Child Left Behind Act.  This program offers students and their families an opportunity to learn new skills and discover abilities in an after-school environment. 21st Century Community Learning Centers and
the Department of Human Resources Afterschool Programs have a unique way of meeting the needs of students and their family members through non-traditional ways. It is our hope that students, family members and other community members, benefit academically, socially and culturally with the help of our community partners. We will explore and create pathways to make dreams come true.
 
Laney's DHR / 21st CCLC program also offers Georgia Virtual School Credit Recovery courses to high school students and GED training to community adults and students' family members.
 
Program hours are Monday-Friday 2:30-5:00.

Project CHANGE Evening School
Project CHANGE is an alternative program designed to offer courses leading to the high school diploma. All courses are state approved and taught by certified teachers.

Sand Hills serves severely emotionally disturbed students ages 5 to 21.

Volunteer Training
Volunteer Training is made available to all individuals interested in volunteering in Richmond County schools. Volunteers may help with classroom activities, computer labs, field trips, mentoring, office duties, storytelling and tutoring, just to name a few.
