Degrees and Certifications:

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I hope that your child/children had a great summer and excited about this academic year.  I am very happy to be here at Tobacco Road Elementary and I am looking forward to working with all my students.  As your child’s Autism Transition Teacher, I will be working hard to help him/her to make progress in a safe, structured, and positive environment.

My teaching style can best be described as one that incorporates a diversity of teaching methodologies and techniques.  I am a strong advocate of hands-on activities.  I guess it is because that is how I learned best.  I also know that it is very important to learn your students’ style of learning and to incorporate all styles of learning into your curriculum.

My goal as a teacher is to instill a passion for learning within my students while providing them with an educational environment that is encouraging and positive.  I hope students will one day look back on their time with me and remember me as a teacher who genuinely cared for their well-being.  It is my belief that through education, an individual will receive the vital skills and tools that are necessary to build a life that is successful and prosperous.  I believe that students should be encouraged to solve problems similar to those they will encounter outside of school, and this will instill in them the ability to become flexible problem solvers in preparation for their adult’s lives.  I also believe that as a teacher, it is our duty to ensure that learning takes place in a safe, nurturing, open and supportive environment so that students learn the important aspects of developing and fostering positive relationships with others.  We as educators must also work closely with parents; therefore, I am looking forward to working with you.

Yours Truly,

Jacqueline Bradley
