Ms. Nicole Brouse
Hello and welcome to Middle School! As an educator, my hope is to inspire my students to have fun in the process of learning and to make them feel comfortable in the classroom. I have a passion for teaching and love working with children of all ages. My students inspire me on a daily basis, and I am constantly learning from them as well. It is my pleasure to expose them to the importance of the scientific world, as well as unleash their curiosity about the Earth, and explore Space.
I am a graduate of University of South Carolina where I received both of my Bachelor’s Degrees in Biology and History with concentrations Ecology, Genetics, Life Sciences and Middle Eastern Studies. I worked extensively on a research project with the Wild Turkey Federation to save the wild turkey population in The Seirra Nevadas with genetic modification of a species of chufa grass. I continued my education at CSRA RESA and completed my Teaching Credential through the Teaching Academy of Pedagogy and Practice. I am a member of Phi Mu Fraternity and participate in many volunteer opportunities in Augusta Georgia.
My work experience includes working in the Richmond County School Districts with grades 4-8 and special needs children. I’ve worked as a tutor for many years where I helped students with homework, attended several training workshops, organized fun learning games and kept an open line of communication with my parents. Lastly, I have a passion for Earth and Space Science and I look forward to sharing my expertise with our students.
In my spare time I enjoy traveling, visiting our family and friends, and enjoy being active in our community.
