Test #9 will be given on Tuesday, January 21st and will cover the poetry of Walt Whitman (which we have studied last week and this week) and vocabulary list 3.
As a reminder, here is a quick outline of things that students are required to do to benefit thier learning.
Although I put up notes online, this information does not go into depth. Students are required to take notes during class because this information will go into more depth. Also, if you don't have notes, you don't have anything you can study for the tests.
Students are required to participate in class. If students don't ask me questions, I conclude it's because they know the information. If students don't know the information, I conclude it's because they haven't studied the information. If students don't respond to my questions, I conclude that the students have been tuning out the lessons.
Students are required to spend time at home reviewing the information learned in class and to take measures to help clarify the information.
These are the same ideas that we went over at the beginning of the school year and that are represented in the syllabus.
Go to the Notes section and open the file called "Online Textbook." This will tell you how to access the online version of the textbook.
