At Spirit Creek, we offer a variety of sports for both males and females. Every student must obtain a physical packet (8-9 pages, depending on the sport) to be able to participate in sports. Also, students must undergo an eligbility check to ensure that his or her grades are within Richmond County guidelines for eligibility. These guidelines are based on grades from May (Fall Eligibility) and December (Spring Eligibility).
If a sudent has TWO OR MORE failing grades on his or her report card in May as an average of the entire year, he or she will be inelligible to play sports for the upcoming school year regardless of attending summer school.
The physical packet includes the following items:
- Student Medical History
- Physical Form
- Clearance Form
- Athlete Roster
- Military Waiver (if applicable)
- Parent Permission Form
- Student/Parent Contract
- Concussion Form
- Football Awareness Form (if applicable)
The following sports are offered here at Spirit Creek Middle School:
- Boys Basketball
- Boys Track
- Girls Basketball
- Girls Track
Your child only needs one physical packet per year to be able to participate. Those can be obtained from Coach Lord. If your child participates in multiple sports, a concussion form must be filled out for each sport that he or she participates in.
