    Course Overview

    Survey of Engineering Graphics is the second course in the Engineering Drafting and Design Career Pathway. The course is designed to build student skills and knowledge in the field of engineering graphics/technical drafting. The course focus includes employability skills, career opportunities, applied math, working drawings that include sectional, auxiliary, detail and pictorial views, and pattern developments. In addition, elements in applied mathematics are integrated throughout the course. The prerequisite for this course is Introduction to Drafting & Design. 


    Evaluation (per nine weeks)

    • Major projects and summative assessments  (50%)

    • In-class technical drawings (manual and CADD)  (30%)

    • Unit key terms assessments  (20%)             

    • Grade Recovery opportunities will be permitted on an as needed basis and individualized due to the nature of the assignments.

    • Please refer to the Student Code of Conduct regarding Make-Up Work requirements.

    • 3 ring binder
    • Pencils
    • Pens


    • Check SCHOOLOGY for assignments, announcements, and more.

    • The CADD Lab is available for students to complete assignments, make up assessments, projects, tutoring, etc. after school, Monday – Thursday*, 3:00 until 4:00. All requests to stay after school must be made at least 24 hours in advance via email.  Students must provide written parent permission with signature and contact number to teacher when staying after school.  Students must be picked up no later than 4:10 p. m.
