    Course Overview

    Introduction to Drafting and Design is the foundational course for the Engineering Drafting and Design Pathway.  Emphasis is placed on geometric construction, fundamentals of computer-aided drafting, and Multiview drawings.  Students learn drafting techniques throughout the study of geometric construction at which time they are introduced to computer-aided drafting and design (CADD).  


    Evaluation (per nine weeks)

    • Major projects and summative assessments  (50%)

    • In-class technical drawings (manual and CADD)  (30%)

    • Unit key terms assessments  (20%)    

    • Grade Recovery opportunities will be permitted on an as needed basis and individualized due to the nature of the assignments.

    Supplies Needed

    • 3 ring binder
    • Pencils
    • Pens


    • Check SCHOOLOGY for assignments, announcements, and more.

    • The CADD Lab is available for students to complete assignments, make up assessments, projects, tutoring, etc. after school, Monday – Thursday*, 3:00 until 4:00. All requests to stay after school must be made at least 24 hours in advance via email.  Students must provide written parent permission with signature and contact number to teacher when staying after school.  Students must be picked up no later than 4:10 p. m.
