Ms. Angela Salifu

was born and raised here in Richmond, County. She received her formal education in Richmond County School System, and decided at a young age to return to Augusta to aid the community in developing competent leaders and foster progressive families/communities. It was early experiences as a child in Richmond County that inspired Ms. Salifu to go into the profession of Social Work. She desires to help others to overcome conditions of poverty and oppression by developing a true sense of purpose and potential. She received a BA in Psychology from Georgia State University and a MSW (Masters of Social Work) from University of Georgia. Ms. Salifu has worked with the following Organizations during her career: Georgia State University, University of Georgia, Hillside Children’s Hospital, Charlie Norwood VA Hospital, and Richmond County DFCS (Centralized Intake Communications Center).


Ms. Salifu has been affiliated with the following Professional Organizations: School Social Workers Association of Georgia (2016), New Leaders Council of Augusta (2016), UGA Co-Chair School Social Work Student Faculty Committee (2012-2013), National Association of Black Social Workers, (Board Member), Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Atlanta (2011), Girl Inc. of Atlanta (2011)
