In class today, students watched a video (below) that gave detail into the lives of the Jews and the oppression they faced at the hands of Adolf Hitler and other fascist powers. This prepared students to better understand what to expect in "We Will Not Be Silent".
Students (except 4) were given their books in class on Thursday, September 20. We began watching a video that highlighted some of the injustices that African-Americans suffered throughout the Civil Rights Movement. We will continue watching the video in class on Monday, September 24.
1. Students are required to create 5 bowl questions for each chapter (Chapters 1-9).
2. Questions are due Friday, September 28.
3. Students should read through to the end of the book and be familiar with the personal accounts after Chapter 9, but no individual work will be done with the personal accounts. The personal accounts will be discussed in class as we work through activities together.
Due: Monday, October 5th
