Degrees and Certifications:
Dr. Marsha J. Moorman
I have been teaching for 23 years. I am delighted to be teaching Science courses in the Early College Academy. I am a graduate of the Richmond County Public School System (A. R. Johnson Health Professions High School). I received a B.S. - Microbiology from the University of Georgia. I received a Medical Degree from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine.
It is my goal to create a classroom environment conducive to learning. My hope is not only to teach students about Science, but to prepare them for life.
I enlist the support of my student's parents to encourage their child to come to class on time, prepared, and ready to learn.
I enlist the support of my students to maintain an attitude of respect and willingness to learn.
Science is a "hands-on" subject where we work together to KNOW, UNDERSTAND, and DO.
Classroom rule: Respect is the rule. The rule is respect.
Students will complete the Science courses in accordance with the RCBOE Planning Guide.
Help Sessions are available for students as needed and with prior arrangement.
Upon returning from an absence, it is the student's responsibility to obtain any missed assignments.
