• Information regarding the Early College Teen Social

     

    • This year's Social will be held on Friday, May 10th, 2019 at The Savannah Rapids Pavilion downstairs banquet room located at 3300 Evans to Locks Rd, Martinez, GA. The time is from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM

    • Parking is available onsite. Students will enter through the lower level entrance under the deck.

    • Once students leave the building, they will not be allowed to re-enter for any reason.

    • The Social can only be attended by Early College Academy students and their dates. If a student chooses to bring a guest from another school, they must have identification with them at the Social site and they must have turned in a signed permission form (signed by parent and their school administrator). No one over the age of 18 is allowed to attend.

    • Students will be given an invitation prior to the event. All paid guests will be on a list at the door.

    • Tickets will be sold by Ms. Watkins in the EC office. Ticket prices are $20.

    • No one will be admitted in to the Social if they are not on the list.

    • Students found to be dancing in an inappropriate or sexually explicit manner will be asked to leave the Social without a refund.

    Dress Code:

     

    Boys Formal Dress: Formal prom attire may be classified as a tuxedo or dress suit, including a tie, bow tie, a turtle neck, a shirt, which may include a vest or cummerbund (all not required). Shirts are to be worn at all times. Dress shoes must be worn while in any public building. Tennis shoes and athletic shoes are unacceptable.

     

    Girls' Dress: Dresses may be strapless or include spaghetti straps. Bare or open backs are acceptable. However, bare abdomens or bare midriffs are not permitted. Foot apparel must be worn at all times. Undergarments should not be visible. See-through apparel and dresses with slits that are above the mid-thigh are not permitted. Garments that are tight or low-cut are also unacceptable.

    Girls' dresses must be pre-approved by Mrs. Cato, our counselor. Pictures can be emailed to her at catobr@boe.richmond.k12.ga.us

     

    • Students are reminded that at a school event they are subject to the Richmond County Board of Education code of conduct and will be disciplined for inappropriate actions. The board's discipline policies are in effect. All questions and concerns can be directed to Mr. Sharif or Ms. Watkins.
