I joined the United States Army in 1988 at the age of 17, and served in Operation Desert Storm at the age of 19. While serving in the military from 1988-1991, I realized that anything is possible if you put forth the effort. Therefore, I earned a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Savannah State University in 1996, completed a teacher certification program at Paine College in 1997, earned a M.Ed. from Troy State University in Education in 2001, and earned an Ed.S. in Educational Leadership from Cambridge College in 2008.

Currently, I am entering my 25th year as an educator in Richmond County School System, which has truly been an honor and a privilege to serve the students and community. I am committed to assuring students are afforded the opportunity to compete in a global society.

In closing, “You can’t lead the people if you don’t love the people. You can’t save the people if you don’t serve the people.”  Dr. Cornel West
