        I follow the Georgia Performance Standards for Modern Languages, which are based on the on the 5 C’s for language acquisition. The 5 C’s for language acquisition are:

      • Communication: Communicate in world language.

      • Culture: Gain knowledge and understanding of other cultures.

      • Connections: Connect with other disciplines and acquire information.

      • Comparisons: Develop insight into the nature of language and culture.

      • Communities: Participate in multilingual communities at home and around the world.

        These 5 topics will be visited throughout the year.

      • Students will be assessed orally and in class participation.

      • Students will be assessed by ALL classwork in their (INB's) Interactive NoteBook on a daily basis

      • Students will be assessed by paper and pencil at the end of each lesson and Unit.

      • Students are responsible for their Interactive NoteBooks. All class work and notes will be on there (Except Quizzes & Tests). Students are also responsible for making up missing assignments due to not coming prepared to my class or due to being absent.

        The grades are based on total points, (quizzes, activities, class participation, class work, projects (when applicable) and homework (when applicable). Students will be able to accumulate points that will reflect towards their grade and they will be posted on a weekly basis on Infinite Campus (IC).

        PROJECTS/HOMEWORK(when applicable):

        Homework is an extremely important part of learning, however, it is a quarterly course and therefore, the only homework that will be assigned will be incomplete classroom work that will be due the follwing day. Students are responsible for studying their INB's prior to a quizz/test.

        Mrs. Estrada will take attendance at the beginning of every class. During this time, students should be sitting and focused on their “warm up” work.
