Engineering/TSA students attended Fall Leadership Conference held in Jekyll Island to meet TSA members from all over the state of Georgia. They also developed leadership skills and received technical training for State Leadership Competitive Events (info below)!
This years' attendees (pictured in the slideshow):
Paytne Slovak - "I would highlight the concept of E+R=O from Fall Leadership. E+R=O means an event plus a response gives you an outcome. This means, if you take action towards an event you can have an outcome you desire. Rather than E=O, E+R=O allows for you to take action to change a bad event into somethig better and it tells you that even if something has happened, you can still do something about it."
Savannah Insalaco - "Fall Leadership was an immensible, advantegeous experience. During our sessions, I learned life skills and methods of leadership that I will not only use, to further my chapter, but I will use to further myself in real life applications."
Joseph Washington - "Our efforts for the boat race wouldn't have been possible without all the members of the team and helpers up until the last 10 minutes before the competition began. Two people were needed inside of the boat, and one helped the other into it."
Jake Koenig - "I would recommend Fall Leadership because the travel group was amazing and the location is fun. After the sessions and the President's breakfast, I've set my goal to come back with stability. I want to help the members after us feel they are set for success."
Advisor (Ms. Mack) - "After attending Fall Leadership for the first time as the incoming Engineering teacher, my goal is to keep students motivated in STEM fields. There are plenty of resources and jobs in this field for students to succeed as high school, college, and career professionals. I also want to help students step outside of their comfort zones and stand out in TSA."
