  • ASEE: Science & Engineering Apprenticeship Program
    The Science and Engineering Apprenticeship Program (SEAP) provides an opportunity for high school students to participate in research at a Department of Navy (DoN) laboratory during the summer.

    SEAP is providing competitive research internships to 250 high school students this year. Participating students spend eight weeks during the summer doing research at 28 DoN laboratories. Application deadline is November 1, 2019.

  • Young Investigators’ Summer Program in Nuclear Engineering

    Application Deadline: April 30, 2020

    In addition to The Engineering Place’s Summer Programs, the Department of Nuclear Engineering at NC State holds its own residential camp for high school students and is now accepting applications for its Young Investigators’ Summer Program in Nuclear Engineering.  The camp is open to high school rising juniors, rising seniors and graduating seniors. Participants explore through group projects, labs, lectures and industry field trips how nuclear science and technology solve everyday energy, medical and other industrial challenges.
