Mrs. Heather Davidson

Heather Davidson has been teaching performance at Davidson Fine Arts since 1997. Prior to moving to Augusta, she lived and worked as a performing artist in New York City for 13 years. She earned a Bachelor Of Fine Arts in Theatre from Syracuse University . Active in the performing arts as time allows she has been seen locally onstage in tthe Augusta Players productions of "Fiddler On the Roof" (Golde) and "Les Miserables" (Fantine). Work with the Augusta Opera includes most recently "Beggar Woman/Lucy" in "Sweeney Todd". She is also active in the CSRA as a voice over commercial artist.

Ms. Davidson's courses include Drama Fundamentals 1 and 2 in which students are introduced to the basic skills which form the foundation an actor needs to evolve and grow. The Junior Advanced Acting and Musical Theatre Performance classes are by audition and are designed as performance troupes which present throughout the CSRA community at numerous venues during the year as well as our mainstage at Davidson. She is also an active and  proud Troupe Sponsor for Junior Thespian Troupe 88109 which attend State and National festivals each year allowing tremendous opportunities for the student performer.

Ms Davidson was Davidson Fine Arts Teacher of the Year in 2008-2009 and also won Teacher of the Year for all of Richmond County that same year.
