    The ESOL program serves approximately 472  English Learners.The program offers English to speakers of other languages (ESOL) classes to all English Learners (ELs) who are instructed by 11 ESOL elementary itinerant teachers, one (K-8) and  one high school teacher for newcomers. ESOL middle and high schools serve their students with ESOL endorsed or certified teachers at their individual schools. ESOL is a federally-mandated instructional program for eligible students in grade K - 12 (Georgia School Law Code 1981, 20-2-156, 1985).

    School to Home Communication

    communication  Per federal law, school-home communication must be provided in a language that our parents understand. In an effort to facilitate this communication, World Language Department provides support to all schools and departments within Richmond County School System.Translation and interpretation services are available at no charge to parents and guardians who require assistance in understanding all district and school related information.Do you need assistance in a language other than English?Please contact, your child's teacher or the administration at their school.
