Driving Engagement Powered by Golf

The Richmond County School System is expanding opportunities for students through Driving Engagement: Powered by Golf, an initiative that uses golf to support physical education, leadership development, STEAM learning, and student wellness. Through partnerships with First Tee of Augusta, the TGR Foundation and other community organizations, students will gain access to engaging learning experiences that build confidence, teamwork, perseverance, and lifelong healthy habits.
Beginning with pilot schools, the initiative introduces a structured K–8 golf curriculum designed to connect classroom learning with real-world skills and career exploration. Students will develop golf fundamentals while exploring concepts in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, as well as learning valuable lessons in sportsmanship, goal setting, and personal growth.
