Ms. Stewart

Greetings Parents and Students!

I want to take this opportunity to updatet my contact information in the event you need to reach me while we are out of school over the next couple of weeks. I will be available Monday thru Friday from 9am to 4pm via Remind or email. Students were given information on how to access their work on Remind on Monday, March 16th. Due to copyright laws, some assignments will only be available on Remind since it is a password protected application. Everyday I will post an instructional math and science video on Remind and my teacher page.  I will advise students what their assignments are for the day along with the due date for those assignments. I am in the process of experimenting with various video conferencing applications in hopes of being able to set up at least one live session daily with each homeroom.

Student grades will come from USA Test Prep, I-Ready, Edgenuity and/or McGraw Hill online. Assignments are differentiated by class, so not all classes have the same assignments. If you need to connect to my Remind, use the following codes based on your child's homeroom teacher. Please note, these codes are only applicable to Ms. Stewart's math classes. If you are looking for Remind codes or contact information for other teachers, please see their teacher webpage:

Stewart Homeroom: @stewhonr19

Lee Homeroom: @mathlee19

McCladdie Homeroom: @mathmcc19

I understand this may be a difficult time for parents and students alike. Rest assured, I am here to help and should you need me, I am only a click away!

Be safe and stay healthy!

Ms. Stewart

Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year! My name is Ms. Stewart and I am delighted to be your child's 7th grade math and/or science teacher. In addition to teaching, I also serve as the Mathematics Department Chair and the Zero Period Advisor. While this is only my second year at Hephzibah Middle School, I have eight years of experience teaching math and 3 years experience teaching science. I was fortunate enough to go overseas and teach math and science in the United Arab Emirates from 2016-2018. After my homecoming, I readily returned to the Richmond County School System to continue teaching and shaping the brilliant minds of our young people.

Math has always been my favorite subject! I enjoy sharing my love for mathematics with the students and helping them discover a new outlook on mathematics instruction and relate mathematics concepts to real world experiences. I look forward to working and connecting with you and your child this year!
