Past Due Assignments

  • Please use Class Dojo as a way to contact me daily regarding your student. While I am usually busy working with each of your children, I try my best to take the time to check my messages from Dojo periodically throughout the day as I add points for their outstanding behaviors. In the rare circumstances where I've had to take multiple points for negative behaviors, I'll let you know what's going on via Dojo as soon as I am able.

Thank you for participating daily in making your child an outstanding student.

  • Hello! I want to take this opportunity to thank each of the parents and guardians of my students who have contacted me back in support of the Dojo points that I've both awarded and been forced to take away due to poor choices made by their child. One of the most difficult things to do is to follow through with negative consequences when a child chooses to not follow rules and directions. However, it's also one of the most important things that those who love them can do for them, especially at this age. I truly appreciate each of you who Jane gotten back with me when there has been an issue. Your positive responses are a comfort and go a long way to helping both me and your child work on a longterm positive outcome.

Please remember that every student must complete both the math Ann's the ELA (English Language Arts) homework Monday through Thursday nights. Also, please be sure to add 15 to 20 minutes of reading with your child each night, including weekends. This little bit of reading will have a remarkable impact on your child's vocabulary and reading ability now and in his or her future.

Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help or questions I can answer for you. We are starting to read our first book together, Charlotte's Web, on Monday the 19th. We'll be reading together and doing repossessions activities over the next month about this book. And, we're studying British Colonial-America and the northern (New England), middle, and southern colonies, the people, the economy, and traditions/lifestyles. Our overview will be based on how humans organize themselves and their communities.

    Make everyday a special one.

    Mrs. Kelley
