I’m Theresa Walker. I have taught 2nd , 4th and students at all grade levels in an alternative school setting. My first computer teaching experience was in 1995 introducing Microsoft Office skills to students. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology. I love technology and the positive opportunities it provides. I am delighted to be a part of the children’s learning experience.
This year I will be teaching Computer Science K-5. Students will learn to be creative and utilize technology and see real world applications. They will be inspired to become programmers, practice good digital citizenship and be technology innovators. I believe every child can be an innovator and a proficient end user of technology.
The computer science course will introduce students to the foundational concepts of computer science and challenge them to explore how computing and technology can impact the world. This course will be enjoyable, engaging and approachable, exploring many of the foundational ideas of computing so all students will understand how these concepts are transforming the world we live in.
