My name is Madeleine Torres Fontanés. I have been a teacher since 2015 in my native country of Puerto Rico. A year ago, Richmond County School Systems did a job fair in Puerto Rico and I was blessed enough to have been chosen to join the HHS family. My BA in Education is specialized in ESL (teaching English as a Second Language). During my college education, I decided to minor in Creative Writing and was able to get a string of short stories published in my college's Literature Magazine and, I also dived into a Public Speaking minor. I have a passion for teaching that makes me dynamic, adaptable and creative. I AM PRO-STUDENT and I strive to provide a safe learning environment where every Rebel that comes through the door can feel comfortable enough to, not only learn the basic skills they need for education beyond HHS, but to also broaden and open their minds to new ideals, values, morals that will help them become critical thinkers and become independent learners that can be a beacon of change in society.
