Hello and welcomeI I am Dr. Tamala P. Brown. I am a native Augustan who is now an educator of Physical Science and Individuals and Society for the Richmond County Board of Education. Formerly, I was the Director of the Programs at Paine College with an emphasis in Adult Education. In addition, I served as the Chair of the Department of Social Sciences and also worked as an Assistant Professor of Social Sciences, where she has taught for approximately seven (7) years in Sociology, Psychology and Education. I completed my undergraduate degree at South Carolina State University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology. Later, I matriculated at Troy State University, Troy, Alabama, I completed a Master’s degree in Education with a concentration in Counseling and Psychology. My last tenure of education was at Capella University, Minneapolis, Minnesota, where I received a PhD in Human Services with a concentration in Counseling.
Professionally, I have worked in a diverse realm of human services appointments to include state level and consultative roles for training and program development in the states of Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina. For over 20 years, I have worked in both the public and private sectors providing clinical and social services to clients across the southeast. Since 2011, I have returned to the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA) to help educate young minds in education and prepare them for the world offers in Social Sciences and beyond.
