Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Angela D. Baker
Hello parents and friends of Goshen Elementary!
I am so excited about working with your children!
You may want to know who I am. I spent the last 24 years as a chorus and general music teacher at Langford Middle School in Augusta, Georgia.
I received my education at the following schools:
Associate in Music - Truett McConnell College, Cleveland Georgia
Bachelor of Arts in Music Education - Mercer University, Macon Georgia
Master of Arts in Religios Education with a focus on Childhood Education - Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Fort Worth, Texas
I started playing piano and taking piano lessons at the age of 7. Music was very important to me. I sang in children's choirs, youth choirs and adult choirs in church. I began playing the flute in 6th grade and was able to attend college on music scholarships.
I still play piano at my home church and have been there for 25 years.
I am so excited about working with the elementary school children. I enjoyed working with the middle school students but always planned on spending my last several years teaching elementary school children. I have worked with several children's choirs and musicals through my church and other churches.
If you are a musical person, you know what I mean when I say that my music teachers helped to form the person I am today. I hope to be the kind of teacher that inspires your children to do their very best at whatever they would like to achieve.
