• Innovation Academy Girl's Principal Message

    Dear IA Families,

Welcome to our Innovation Academy School Website! We hope you will find the information you're looking for on this page. Innovation Academy is a special place with warm and friendly teachers, students, parents and staff, and I am grateful for the opportunity to be your principal. I believe in working collaboratively with staff, students, parents and community partners in order to best serve the QUEENS of the Innovation Academy. Through this collaboration, I believe we will keep moving our students and school forward, as we navigate our way through this ever changing world.

Our school is made up of two schools in one building (Boys (Kings) and Girls (Queens)). Our students are in grades 6-12 and are attending either via tribunal or CHOICE. Our faculty and staff are dedicated, full wrap around services, caring professionals, who love and support one another as both, friends and colleagues.  They are committed to working together toward the success of all of the children at Innovation Academy.

Our school is committed to creating a safe environment for all students and staff, where courtesy and kindness prevail, and where there is respect for differences in other people, customs and cultures.  We want our students to work hard individually and as a classroom community to achieve an environment where everyone feels valued, and believes they can be successful.  We have developed our Innovation Academy PBIS (Positive Behavior Supports) program to help foster a safe and positive learning environment.  In addition to our district adopted SEL (social emotional learning) curriculum, we focus on student needs both ACADEMICALLY and BEHAVIORALLY. Striving to instill the tools our students need to be successful in life.

As parents and educators, we must form a strong partnership to ensure that all of our Innovation Academy students receive an exceptional education. I encourage you to participate in school activities and special occasions, as well as volunteer if your schedule allows.  I look forward to getting to know you this school year and many school years to come. I am ecstatic to be the 1st principal of the Innovation Academy for Girls and look forward to a SUPERFANTASTIC school year.  If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at 706-796-4992 x 2321, 706-220-8246 (Cell) or  Moorean@boe.richmond.k12.ga.us
