Spring Break (April 6-13, 2020) will be observed as planned. Students and parents/guardians, please take this time to enjoy yourselves as best as possible. Do not worry about completing assignments during Spring Break. We will resume normal activities on April 14, 2020. Again...relax and enjoy yourselves!
Dear Parents/Guardians and Studetns:
I will be utilizing USATest Prep for the remainder of the school year. This app is located on Launchpad, and allows teachers to keep track of students' progress. Many students can and have accessed USATest Prep on their cellular phones, making it that much more convenient for assignment completion. Also, please visit https://www.rcboe.org for additional distance learning opportunities. I want to personally thank you for your patience during this time. The students, parents/guardians, and faculty/staff are successful because we are in this together!
Dear Parent/Guardian and Students:
As most of you know, we will not be returning to school for the 2019-2020 school year. While this may make some nervous, I am going to do whatever is feasible to ensure that learning and teaching is not compromised. Here is how the above will be accomplished:
1. I will continue to reach out daily by email;
2. The assignments currently posted in USATest Prep will be modified; by modified, due dates will once again be extended to April 30, 2020, and the number of attempts allowed will be unlimited if possible. Additional assignments will be posted the closer we get to May 2020;
3. If daily progress is not being made with assignment completion, parents will be contacted so a plan of action can be put in place; and
4. I have a phone dedicated to keeping in contact with students and parents during this time. This phone will allow me to facetime with students and teach mini lessons, and/or minimize the "distance" in distance learning by being able to connect outside the computer. The phone number was sent to all students via email; please check your email and feel free to reach out concerning your academics.
I hope the changes being made will be of benefit to most, if not all. As I have said before, I am here with you and for you...I have your back!!!
