Mrs. Venteicher (Mrs. V)
Hello! My name is Ari Venteicher and I'm thrilled to join the Glenn Hills Elementary School family as one of the Early Intervention Augmented Teachers. This fall, I moved here from California with my husband, dog (Lola), and cat (Gizo). I’m a “military brat” who spent the majority of my childhood in Fairfax County, Virginia. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Mass Communication with a minor in Arabic from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2013. After working for the federal government in Washington, DC as a communications specialist, I decided to pursue my love for cross-cultural exchange and community development by serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Republic of Georgia (Eastern Europe). It is there that I found my true passion in the field of education. I taught English to K-12th grade students and coached girls' basketball for two years before returning to the United States where I received my multiple-subject teaching credential in California. I taught fifth grade for two years in Monterey, CA and served on my previous school’s achievement team and English Language Arts (ELA) curriculum council before relocating to Augusta.
Currently, I am finishing my final semester of my Master of Arts in Teaching degree from the University of Southern California’s Rossier School of Education.
I enjoy exercising, reading, gardening, learning languages, and spending time with my family.
I look forward to being an active member of the community here and working together to reach the goals of the school!
