Mr. Josh Adee
Hello, my name is Mr. Joshua Adee, and I want to thank you for the privilege of being your child’s new Georgia Studies teacher. Just a little background information about me. I graduated from Augusta University in December of 2019 with a Masters of Arts in Teaching following 20 years in the United States Navy. I am very excited to be your child’s new Social Studies teacher. I have also been married for over 17 years and have two daughters, one in 7th grade and one in 1st.
In this classroom, students will be expected to stay focused, work hard, and maintain a positive mindset. Students will be given multiple opportunities to demonstrate their learning through classwork, performance tasks, culminating activities, and online assignments. Students are expected to participate in class each day. Participating means being in class for the entire period, listening to instructions, completing classroom tasks, asking questions when necessary, answering questions when asked, cooperating, and following classroom policies. Essentially, class participation is doing your best to learn and help others learn. The overriding expectation in the class is RESPECT: respect yourself, fellow students, teachers, the school, and any guests that may come into the classroom.
Contact Me!!! If you have any concerns about your child’s school work, do not hesitate to reach out to me. Email is the most reliable way to reach me. My email address is email@example.com. I have also set a REMIND for the class to use as a communication tool. Text my class code (Georgia Studies @fafd8a) (American Government/Civics @3hebc92) to 81010 or sign up with a computer or smartphone app to sign up to receive notifications.
I look forward to building a collaborative relationship with all parents and students.
