Welcome everyone! My name is Trulana Hines and I've been teaching for five years, though this will be my fourth-year teaching at Laney. I'm an Army Veteran, wife, and mother to a 10th grade boy who has started eating me out of house and home and is ready to drive my car. I earned my Bachelor's degree from Paine College in 2018. Go LIONS! I am AP certified. I love everything about teaching literature and hope to inspire my students to become avid readers with an appetite for learning.  I believe in teaching English through what my students like and then guiding them down the path of knowing the joys of reading, literature, and being able to empathize with others as well as think for themselves.
