Welcome students!!!! A few things that I want you to keep in mind this school year and the remainder of your academic journey. Education is not only a ladder of opportunity but an investment into our future. Knowledge will bring you the opportunity to make a difference!!! Lets make this year one to remember!!!News You Can Use:9th grade students- Study focus vocabulary daily, turn in all assingments on due date, bring in official excuse when absent to recieve make-up workAvid students- Focus on organization -binder checks, assignments due on time, prompt to classAP Students- Focus on academic maturity, practice responding to literature daily
All 9th and 11th grade students have recieved grade conferencing for 4th quarter progress grade. Students received a list of assignments that they've not attempted or did not complete, all assignments are due at the end of the school day (4/5/2019). Students receive grade conferencing each grading period, they are allowed class time as well as extended time to complete assignments they do not attempt or did not finish before the deadline. Students normally receive a 10 to 20 reduction in grade for late assignments. I normally give students full credit if they complete in timely manner, which is the reason all students are highly recommended to take advantage of time and opportunities to recover their grades.
