Hello everyone, 

My name is Mrs. Salinas and I'm the newest addition to the Belair K-8 family! 

First of all, I want to say that I'm so excited to be your teacher!

I've been waiting to meet you all summer and can't wait to see what this school year holds for us. This will be my first official year teaching elementary. I know that I'm new and we both have a lot to learn, but we're going to have an AMAZING year in 3rd GRADE together!

ABOUT ME:

I was born and raised in Texas and moved to Augusta in 2019 with my husband. I attended Texas Tech University and earned my bachelor's in public relations and my master's in mass communications. I taught college courses at Texas Tech University and Northwest Vista College. I was previously a Kindergarten paraprofessional at Warren Road Elementary and it ignited my passion for early education!

FUN FACTS:

I'm a proud owner of two reptiles; Pace, the Bearded Dragon, and Meeko, the Leopard Gecko. I'm happily married to my husband, Ricky. I like traveling and exploring new areas. I'm a huge college football fan and my favorite NFL team are the New England Patriots & Kansas City Cheifs. I love gardening and am a proud owner of too many houseplants. When I'm not home, I'm either out road cycling, moutain biking or finding new places to eat. 

TEACHING OUTLOOK:

I believe that learning should be hands-on, engaging and enlightening. I'm a strong advocate of all things STEM and believe that children learn by "doing" and enteracting with one another. I look forward to being in the classroom and have a strong passion for education.
