Dear  Parents,

         Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year!  I am so excited to have your child come "Camp out " with me in room 107 for Reading and Math instruction and practice! I will be working very closely with your child's teacher so that I can best meet his/her needs during the time he/she is with me.  Please do not hesitate to contact me any time you have a question. You can send a note, e-mail , or call the front office and leave a message. Your child will have a folder from me for my class so you may include any notes or questions in there as needed.

          Second and third graders will be receiving extra practice with sight words, reading fluency, comprehension, retell, and any other reading/ phonics skills as needed. In Math, second and third graders will review addition facts to 20 for speed the few weeks of school. Additon and subtraction with regrouping will be the next focus for third graders. Other 2nd and 3rd grade math skills will be reviewed and practiced as needed per group.   I look forward to helping your child succeed during the time he/she is "camping out" in my room and in his/her own class! Please have your child read  daily and support him or her with homework and skills practice.
