The Key To Unlock Any Door Is Knowledge!
My philosophy is to set high expectations for myself and others through academic excellence. The commitment to succeed is transferred to students and parents because I believe in empowerment through knowledge. My favorite quote is “The key to unlocking any door is knowledge, use the key toward success” (Unknown, n. d). My goal is to continue to establish and maintain a collaborative partnership with the faculty, students, parents, and community partners to help maintain the effectual procedure of A. R. Johnson Health Science and Engineering Magnet School.
Mission Statement: A.R. Johnson Health Science and Engineering Magnet School will foster a STEM culture that creates globally competitive 21st Century citizens that are college and career ready.
Vision Statement: Education through Innovation
I hope everyone is enjoying your break.
I applaud those students eager to complete assignments ahead of the Learn@Home due date.
Enjoy your break, and I will be available on Tuesday, February 22, to answer questions concerning the assignments only. Tuesday (only) is also a makeup day for missing work in Canvas. I will NOT open the portals; however, students will complete assignments on a word document (as instructed) and email them to me for partial credit at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I hope everybody continues to work hard and do their 'Best' on every assignment. As stated previously, I WILL NOT reopen any task because a student forgot, fell asleep, didn't know, etc.. on the assignments are open for a decent amount of time, always placed in the homework tab, and announced in class.
Please look in the assignment tab and become familiar with the non-fictional project (due in March, 2022-Short Story/PowerPoint) on a Black Historical Figure.
I will be staying late on Wednesdays to tutor students from 3:30-4:00 pm. So, if anyone needs extra help or stays after school to complete assignments, this is the day/time.
Please DO NOT forget the AP Psychology Exam is Tuesday, May 3, 2022. We are moving quickly through the subsequent four units to practice and review for the exam. Remember, CollegeBoard is the precursor to the exam, so watch videos, answer practice questions, and complete progress quizzes.
Stay safe, social distance (when possible), and keep learning. See you Bright and Early on Wednesday, February 23, for another day of " Love and Learning!"
