My name is Mrs Inga Coleman. I am starting my first year as a .  I'm here to support all students academically, socially and emotionally and I await the opportunity to meet you!

I have been in education for 21 years.  I started my journey in McDuffie County as a 5th grade teacher at Norris Elementary.  I started my career with the Richmond County School system in 2005 and worked as a 5th grade teacher at Joseph Lamar Elementary.  I was there for five years and I enjoyed my time as a classroom teacher.

In 2010, I accepted a position with our Title I department as a Parent Facilitator.  I worked at Bayvale Elementary for two years and at Butler High School for six years as a parent facilitator.  I learned so much about how to implement an effective parental involvement program at both schools. For the last three years, I was a School Counselor at Murphey Middle School. Working with parents, students and the community on a daily basis taught me how important that partnership was so that every child could be successful.

My experiences in the classroom, as a parent facilitator and as a counselor have all prepared me to help the families that I will serve here at . I feel fortunate to have worked on all three levels in my career in elementary, middle and high schools. It is my hope that this year will be filled with successful experiences for all of the students that I get the opportunity to interact with.

I am married to Mr D Coleman and we have three wonderful children. D Jr is 21, Indya is 18 and Imari is 15!

I'm looking forward to a great year.
