Course Description: The Richmond County School System believes that educators should have high expectations for all children and that it is our responsibility to help students achieve the academic goals of performing at or above grade level in all subject areas. This year I am he Early Intervention Program Specialist. I will work together with the regular classroom teacher to provide supplementary instruction based on the needs or each student.Instructional Philosophy :
I believe that cognitive, emotional, and environmental influences, as well as prior experience, all play a part in how understanding is acquired or changed and knowledge and skills are retained. Math is a daunting subject for many students they have been taught to fear and dislike mathematics. In the mathematics classroom I think that is very important to foster a sense of safety and security where is okay to not get it right but to keep working until you find a strategy that works well for you. Teaching students to preserve mathematics is a skill that transfers to other aspects of their lives. Reading is our map to explore the world. I truly love reading and I hope to foster this love in each of my students.Major Course Goals:
