Mrs. Lura Carpenter

I have been married for over twenty years with four grown children and seven grandchildren. I am originally from a tiny town in Ohio, however, I have been living in the South for more than thirty-five years (thirty years here in the Augusta area). I served in the Military (Army) for almost eight years.  I graduated from Augusta College with a degree in Early Childhood Education.  I have been teaching for almost twenty years, eighteen of them in Richmond County schools.  This is my fourth year here at A. Dorothy Haines.  I am teaching First Grade this year. I am overwhelmingly excited to be teaching First Grade.  I love, love this age of children.  I am looking forward to a wonderful and successful year with your child!
