Hello! I am Dr. Karen Heid. I will be your child's art teacher at Lake Forest Hills Elementary School. I am very excited to get the school year started and I know you are too! I have over 30 years of art teaching experience. I have taught elementary, middle, high school; and I taught Art Education at the University of South Carolina for 12 years before moving to Augusta. I have most recently transferred from Davidson Fine Arts so that I might teach younger learners again. I am a professional painter and I love learning new art skills. My husband and I share 5 children, 4 grandchildren, and a yellow lab named Scout.
