Back to School Guide

During the pandemic, the federal government provided free lunch to all schools. Beginning this school year, federal school lunch program funding will return to pre-pandemic guidelines. For our school system, we will return to the Community Eligibility Program.  For the 2022-2023 school year, Richmond County School System students in eligible schools will receive free lunch through the Community Eligibility Provision. Families with students attending Davidson Fine Arts School, Freedom Park K-8 School and/ or C.T. Walker Magnet School are requested to complete the Free and Reduced Lunch Application online beginning July 15 or at the school during Open House. Student free and reduced lunch status from the 2019-2020 school year will apply for the first 30 days of school.  All RCSS students will receive free breakfast meals.
