Our Story
Behind every story shared with our community is the Richmond County School System Communications Department working to inform, engage, and celebrate the people who make RCSS exceptional.
On any given day, our team captures photos and videos in schools, writes news stories and press releases, manages the district's website and social media channels, responds to media inquiries, creates graphics, supports emergency and crisis communications, and highlights the achievements of our students and staff. We partner with schools and departments to promote events, share important updates with families, and ensure consistent, accurate messaging across every platform.
From the excitement of graduation and student celebrations to academic milestones, board meetings, and community partnerships, we tell the stories that reflect the impact of public education in Richmond County. Every project—whether it's a social media post, website update, newsletter, or video—helps connect families, employees, and the community to the work happening across the district.
