With 21 years of nursing experience, including 4 dedicated years with RCSS, he consistently demonstrates deep, conscientious care for his students. February School Nurse of the Month
Congratulations to Kenya Thompson on being selected as the February School Nurse of the Month! With 17 years of nursing expertise, our School Nurse of the Month brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication to RCSS. In her three years with us, she's proven to be exceptionally dependable, successfully managing the health needs of not just one, but two schools. Her commitment to going above and beyond makes her an invaluable asset to our students and staff. Richmond County is indeed fortunate to have her as part of the team!
January School Nurse of the Month
Congratulations to Diletha Adams on being selected as the January School Nurse of the Month! We are incredibly honored to recognize Nurse Adams as our School Nurse of the Month! With over 40 years of nursing experience, she brings a wealth of invaluable knowledge and unwavering dedication to our school. Her diligence in managing care plans for our special populations ensures every student receives the support they need. As a certified CPR Instructor, she empowers our community with life-saving skills. Nurse Adams is a dependable and compassionate presence, always willing to go above and beyond for her students and staff. Richmond County is indeed fortunate to have her as part of the team!
December School Nurse of the Month
Congratulations to Colleen Young on being selected as the December School Nurse of the Month! For 14 years, Nurse Young has been a pillar of health and support for our students and staff. Her dedication shines through in her willingness to help with any task, big or small. As a CPR Instructor, she empowers our community with life-saving skills. Her commitment to going above and beyond makes a real difference in the lives of our students. Richmond County is indeed fortunate to have her as part of the team!
November School Nurse of the Month
Congratulations to Donna Dupras on being selected as the November School Nurse of the Month! With 17 years of nursing experience and 5 years in the Richmond County School System, her role as a great resource for her fellow nurses showcases her commitment to teamwork and support. Her ability to thrive in any environment highlights her adaptability and skill. Richmond County is indeed fortunate to have her as part of the team!
Each year, Richmond County recognizes our Nurse of the Year. May 7th, 2024 was National School Nurse Appreciation Day and RCSS celebrated all of its school nurses in accordance to that day.
On School Nurse Day 2024,
Tamara Dent
was named
RCSS School Nurse of the Year.
Nurse Dent serves the students at Warren Road Elementary School. She has been a nurse at WRES for 4 years. She has a Master's degree in nursing with over 20 years of experience. Nurse Dent appeared on the cover of the Summer 2023 edition of the National Association of School Nurses Magazine, showing her school spirit. She always goes above and beyond what is expected of her. In addition to being selected as the RCSS School Nurse of the Year, she was also selected as the October Nurse of the Month.
