"Ride Ready" with RCSS Bus Registration

Ride ready with the Richmond County School System

To help our families prepare for a safe and successful school year, all Richmond County School System (RCSS) families—new and returning—must update their information and complete bus transportation registration for each student through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. 

Registering helps us: 

  • Build safer and more efficient bus routes. 

  • Make sure your child is assigned a bus before the first day of school. 

  • Keep your contact information updated so you don’t miss important messages. 

 

How To Register

Follow the instructions below or download our registration guide. 

 

Step 1: Log in to your Infinite Campus Parent Portal 
Step 2: Click Online Registration under "Shortcuts" 
Step 3: Choose: 

  • “Existing Families” if your child is already enrolled in RCSS 

  • “New Student Registration” if your child is new to RCSS 

Step 4: Select the school year you are applying for.
Step 5: Complete the application and click Submit

Bus registration is completed in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal by the child(ren)'s primary parent/guardian. 

New to the Richmond County School System? 

Register your child(ren) for school before creating a Parent Portal account. Visit rcboe.org/registration for more information.

 

Look Up Your Activation Key

  • An Activation Key is required when creating a new Parent Portal account. If you have already created a Parent Portal account, you will not need to complete this step again. 

    If you have issues entering your child's Social Security Number, contact the Data Clerk/Registrar at your child's school. 

    To look up your Parent Portal Activation Key:

    • Visit Parent Portal Activation Key
    • Enter the last 4 digits of your student's Social Security Number
    • Click Submit 
    • Print, copy, or write down the alpha-numeric code following GUID.
