Back To School

Welcome to the Richmond County School System!

We look forward to another outstanding school year with our students, families, and educators! Check this page for important back-to-school information.

The Richmond County School System (RCSS) is excited to welcome students back for the 2026–2027 school year! To help families prepare, we encourage parents and guardians to check our annual Back to School Guide, which will be available on this page in mid-July. The guide includes key information about school supplies, bell schedules, dress code reminders, and what to expect during the first week. Families should also follow our official RCSS social media channels for timely updates and announcements as the first day approaches. It’s essential to keep your contact information up to date in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal, allowing your child’s school to share important reminders, teacher assignments, and event details. Don’t forget to attend your school’s Open House event—it’s an excellent opportunity to meet teachers, tour the building, and get ready for a successful school year.

Visit your school website to learn more about supply lists.
