Ride ready with the Richmond County School System

All families in the Richmond County School System (RCSS) must update their contact information for the new school year and register for transportation, including: ​

  • Students who have already registered for school​

  • Students returning to the same school next year.​

  • Students returning to a different RCSS school next year.​

  • New students enrolling in the district for the first time.​

  • Students who will ride the bus every day. ​

  • Students who will be car riders some days but ride the bus other days. ​

  • Students who do not plan to ride the bus at all. ​

 

How To Register

Follow the instructions below:

 

Step 1: Log in to your Infinite Campus Parent Portal.


Step 2: Click "Online Registration" under "Shortcuts". Mobile and computer users should scroll down on their device to see the "Shortcuts" menu.

Step 3: Under "Existing Student Registration", select "Existing Students Annual Updates & Bus Registration" and click "Start". 


Step 4: Click "Begin" to update information for your child, including emergency contacts and bus registration.

Step 5: Fill out the following sections and click "Next" to move on. 

Important Note: Some fields are required for parents and guardians to fill out every year. Required fields are noted with a red asterisk (*)

  • Student(s) Primary Household: Your home address and primary phone number.
  • Parent/Guardian: Contact information for the primary guardian(s)/parent(s). 
  • Emergency Contact: Your full list of emergency contacts for your child(ren).
  • Student: Register for transportation for each of your child(ren). 

Step 6: Once all fields in a section are completed, click "Save/Continue". Completed sections will show a green check mark at the top of the page after saving.

Step 7: After completing all sections, click the document button to provide your signature, then click "Submit".

Parent Portal Quick Guide

Bus registration is completed in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal by the child(ren)'s primary parent/guardian. 

New to the Richmond County School System? 

Register your child(ren) for school before creating a Parent Portal account. Visit rcboe.org/registration for more information.

 

Look Up Your Activation Key

  • An Activation Key is required when creating a new Parent Portal account. If you have already created a Parent Portal account, you will not need to complete this step again. 

    If you have issues entering your child's Social Security Number, contact the Data Clerk/Registrar at your child's school. 

    To look up your Parent Portal Activation Key:

    • Visit Parent Portal Activation Key
    • Enter the last 4 digits of your student's Social Security Number
    • Click Submit 
    • Print, copy, or write down the alpha-numeric code following GUID.
