On Wednesday, April 15, 2015, Dylan James, 4th grade student at C. T. Walker Traditional Magnet School was featured on Fox 54's High 5 4 Kids segment.  Dylan won a scholarship to Space Camp this summer.  To view his story, click here.

RCSS Annual Employees' Retirement Banquet
On May 13, 2015 at 7:00 p.m., the Richmond County School System will honor the 2015 retirees for their dedicated years of service to our school system at the Annual Employees’ Retirement Banquet.  The Employees’ Retirement Banquet will be held at the Augusta Marriott at the Convention Center.

Calling all retirees who plan to retire at the end of the 2014-2015 school year.

Are you a parent of a student who receives special education in our school system and interested in the Georgia Special Needs Scholarship program? RCSS Strategic Mentoring and Retaining Teachers
Mentoring truly does matter!!!  We are seeking proficient teachers from all RCSS schools with three successful years of teaching to support induction teachers.  Please review the application and sincerely consider applying to become a RCSS mentor.  Application deadline is April 30, 2015.

RCSS receives Full Accreditation from SACS/AdvancED Commission

The Richmond County School District has regained its accreditation in completing the required actions by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) according to a recent report by the AdvancED Accreditation Commission.

Effective, March 30, 2015, Governor Nathan Deal signed House Bill 91 into law, thereby creating a new code section, O.C.G.A. § 20-2-281.1. This law provides that students shall no longer be required to earn a passing score on any graduation tests to earn a high school diploma.
