  • Georgia Pre-K Registration Now Available!

    The Richmond County School System will hold Georgia Pre-Kindergarten (Pre-K) online registration on February 1 through February 26, 2016.
    To be considered for the lottery selection, all required documents (proof of age & proof of residence) must be submitted during on-site registration, to be held February 29-March 11, 2016. The registration sites will be Tobacco Road Elementary School (2397 Tobacco Road) and Richmond County Board of Education Central Office (864 Broad Street), Monday through Friday from 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. and on Saturday, March 5, 2016, from 9:00 a.m. – 12 p.m. In order to register, parents/guardian must bring their child’s proof of age and proof of residency and if available, provide a copy of the child’s Georgia Department of Human Resources Form 3300 (Certificate of Eye, Ear, Dental & Nutrition) and Form 3231 (Certificate of Immunization).
    The lottery selection will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2016, at the Richmond County Board of Education Central Office, 864 Broad Street from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Parents and all community stakeholders are invited to attend.

  • House Bill 251 Public School Choice Applications Available

    Under House Bill 251, you may request to transfer your child to another public school within our system, provided we have determined that there is available classroom space at the school after all assigned students, including other categories of exception, have been enrolled.

    National School Counseling Week 2016 is celebrated from February 1-5, 2016, to focus attention on the unique contribution of professional school counselors within US school systems.  National School Counseling Week, sponsored by American School Counseling Association, highlights the tremendous impact school counselors have in helping students achieve school success and plan for a career.
