Hello! I’m Nickol Shepherd, and I’m thrilled to serve as the Media Specialist at the Performance Learning Center. In my role, I aim to help students improve their literacy and deepen their appreciation for reading and books. Additionally, I strive to assist students and teachers in utilizing technology and media to enhance their learning experiences. Whether it’s providing guidance on research projects, offering tech support, or facilitating workshops on digital skills, I’m here to ensure that everyone has the tools and knowledge they need to succeed.

I hold Master’s Degrees in Media Studies/Library Science and Instructional Technology from Georgia Southern University. (GO EAGLES!) I have worked in the field of education for over twenty-two years, including thirteen years as an elementary school teacher in the Richmond County School System.

Outside of work, I’m a tech enthusiast who enjoys exploring new gadgets and programs, as well as staying current with digital trends. I also love connecting with students and staff, so feel free to reach out to me with any questions or ideas to enhance the effectiveness of the media center.
