Welcome to the Fifth Grade!

My name is Dr. Ancrum (or Dr. A), and I will be teaching 5th grade English/Language Arts (ELA) to your child(ren). I am excited about getting the 2024-2025 academic year started, and witnessing growth in every student that walks through the door. Learning will be challenging but fun, and incorporate many interactive lessons. Education is the foundation for almost everything we do; because of that, I want students to love learning, and discover all the possibilities that having an education can bring. Transparency is important to me, so parents will be kept abreast of what is going on with their child(ren). Class DoJo will be the primary tool for communicating with parents, so please accept the invitation to join this platform.
