    Welcome!

    Dear Students,

On November 30, 1988, I was born to Shirley and James Sims here in Augusta, Ga. I attended Richmond Academy in 2007, where I received my high school diploma. After high school, I enrolled at Augusta State University, majored in Social Work with a minor in General Studies, and graduated in 2012 with my BSW. I recently graduated from the University of Phoenix with a master’s in Healthcare Administration, and since then, I have returned to online schooling to complete my certification in teaching.

Before I arrived here at Langford, I was employed at Serenity Behavioral Health as a Case Manager and Service Coordinator for developmental disabilities. My passion is to remain truthful, empower, and help others excel in life, remain confident in my judgment and decisions, and live my life to the fullest. My motto is, “Stay focus, work hard, play harder, and EXCEL IN LIFE.”

I am a mother of 3 beautiful children, ages 14, 13, and 6. My favorite color is pink, and I enjoy expanding my knowledge with unfamiliar information. My favorite food is seafood, and I love Vanilla Coke! My dream one day is to own a nursing home, aid with hospice care, and continue to educate others.

Teaching and working with children is a joy to me, and I am so pleased to finally be able to work with each and every student!  Part of my goal as an educator is to spark curiosity in the minds of students.  During my time in your child’s class, I hope to excite your child about the world of learning and broaden his or her academic interests.

I would like to thank you for providing me with the opportunity to work with your child.    I look forward to learning from my mentor teacher and from your child.   I look forward to meeting you!
