Great day in the morning!

     I am Mrs. Jones-Elam, affectionately known as Mrs. J-E. I am a proud  graduate of Fort Valley State University where I graduated with honors earning a bachelor's degree in English.  While there I was a member of the Blue Machine Marching Band, the FVSU concert and jazz bands, and numerous clubs and honor societies. I also became a member of the prestigious Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

     When I decided I wanted to teach, I attended Augusta University to acquire teacher certification.  While there, I managed to hold down a full time job and mother two young daughters. I completed the program with an A average.

     I received my master's degree in Culturally Responsive Education from Ashford University and received no grade less than an A.

     I have currently taught at George Phineas Butler Comprehensive High School since 1996.  I am a proud Bulldog fan who believes in the capabilities of all students who walk through the doors of our great school.
